Day 5 - Going To 绿林山(Lu Lin Shan)
Today we went to 绿林山(Lu Lin Shan). The journey on the bus took about 4 hours. Though there's a toilet break in between the journey, comparing it to Singapore, the longest ride we took is about 1-2 hours? China is HUGE!
During the long journey, most fell asleep in the bus. The tour guide tried to break the ice between the rest of the people that were awake.
Something interesting that I learned today
I realized that the bus driver horns almost every 4 seconds. The farmers like to dry their grain out on the road and place bottles and also serve as a warning to the vehicles that pass by them.
After the long bus ride, we came to this 'lovers' spot' to do white water rafting and the tour guide said that it is best for guy and girl to be paired together so I paired up with Eshlyn.
During the white water rafting, we started to row the boat. Maybe I am too used to rowing the boat by myself so I paddled very fast and that gave Eshlyn a hard time to keeping up with my pace. That results in our boat moving in a circular direction. I joked with her that she could maybe get off the boat and pushed it and maybe the boat will go faster than she rows. And she really jumped down the boat and push! =/
I dont know whether to laugh or cry which is the direct translation of a chinese proverb 哭笑不得. So I told her to rest in the boat and I will do the rowing of the boat by myself. When the rest of the people see that I am the only one rowing the boat, everyone thought that Eshlyn is like some sort of princess.
Well really had a fun time over there! The bad thing is that we were unable to take photos as it is a wet sport.
After the water sport, we went to see the Beauty Valley(美人谷). In this valley, I came across a very special stone which is named 燃烧的丹霞石. It is a beautiful red colour which makes it seems to be filled with energy and can only be found at this valley.
After looking at that rock, I walk pass a lake which seem like the water are made out of rainbow. The tour guide then told us a story behind this.

Once upon time, there is a fairy from the sky called the Nine Heaven Wonder Fairy(九天玄女) came down from the heaven in the middle of the night, bathing along the lake and a hunter accidentally spotted her while she was bathing. She quickly grabbed her clothes and fled and that was when she dropped a piece of a stone that was given to her from another goddess(女娲) into the lake. It then created this beautiful lake and ever since that day, the hunter had been staring into the sky, hoping to see her again. So he turned into a status while staring into the sky forever and ever...
So that dude was being sentimental or a pervert..? <.<
After having our dinner, we went for a campfire, watched short plays, danced and listened to their china's village songs.

Reflection
I really enjoyed the whole trip very well as it is very exciting!
I realised why the driver have to keep horning as there is many bends in the road and in order to inform the vehicles on the other side, he have to horn them.
The campfire really brings back a lot of my past memories but it is for me to create a better and more happy memories!
I really like the stories that the tour guide told me even i know that it may not be true but sometime, somethings in life just have to be fiction.
