Day 31 - China's National Day,Sport & Friendship Day
Today is China's National Day and how do I know it? When I went jogging like other days in the morning, the street are totally empty and the drink stall aunt who remembers me ask me whether I have lesson today and told me to watch the National Day Parade.
Spending the whole morning and afternoon trying to rush my blog until all of us wanted to go and play captain’s ball so we went down. We break into 2 groups and started playing, not long later when I tried to reach for the ball, I manage to tear my short I am wearing so I stopped for a moment.
The people from ICT (School of Infocomm Technology) called me to play as they are lack of our person so I was thinking since they are all guys and I really wanted to play basketball. I decided to play with them. We have great fun playing, when Eshlyn come shouted at me for dinner, I started to lose concentrate and mark my teammate. She waited for me for quite some time and we join the ICT friend for dinner.
Ever since I come to China, this dinner was the most expensive one I have ever eaten in a restaurant (17RMB). First time they charge us for 1 bowl of rice for 1 RMB so expensive!
After dinner, we went to buy fireworks for tomorrow. When we reach there, I can smell a very heavy gunpowder smell from the shop as if the slightest spark can make this place explode! So we quickly brought the fireworks ( 12 bullets and 1 holder cost 30RMB which means for every fireworks we fire we shoot up S$0.5)
When I enter Eshlyn’s room, she realizes that I was cut on my toe and I totally do feel anything. She so panic and ask me to put on plaster but I do not really do a great job and she went to my room and help me to put plaster again. (In total I have 3 cuts within 1 day!)

Flag hanging outside of the room!

Happy Birthday 60th China!

Our new friend XueBin!

Eshlyn & I are holding on 2 huge Bears! beside us are our new friends =)

Hmmm...2 Alvin in 1 photo!

Friend's DAY!

Lecturer from other course, they are really nice and funny guys too!
Reflection
Kind of regret that why do not I make friends with the ICT people, always trying to stay in my comfort zone even through is not wrong but it is not right either so I decided since I cannot do anything about the past, I just have to enjoy the present and live without any regrets from now! It is nice to see that a friend (Eshlyn) really cares about in this oversea trip even through it is just the slight cut on the toe but it is the intention that counts. Thousand and one thanks to Eshlyn again for being on this learning journey together even though I have to translate all the Chinese history, stories and words to you. Glad to make more new friend from other division too, in life can never know what is install for you. =)
